Director General's Message

Message from our Director General

In his World AIDS Day speech, the President of the Republic of Uganda H. E Yoweri Kaguta Museveni called upon Ugandans especially the young people to avoid living recklessly. He urged them instead to focus on wealth creation and take advantage of the various livelihood programmes that the Government has put in place. As we head towards the finish line, HIV prevention is critical.
This is because it contributes greatly to closing the tap on new infections. I therefore call on all Ugandans to play their role in preventing HIV so that we can end AIDS as a public health threat by 2030. Sustainability of the National HIV and AIDS Response has been one of the most debated issues in the HIV Response.
