Situation Room Training
The HIV Situation Room is a visualization platform that aims to provide policymakers and HIV implementing partners with accurate, reliable and timely data that can be used in informed decision making. It helps in mining data from the various data sources and has it analyzed, monitored and visualized from one place. THE Uganda AIDS Commission and the Ministry of Health in collaboration with UNAIDS established the Situation Room for monitoring the multi-sectoral response to the HIV epidemic. It was launched on 8th March 2018 by H.E the President of Uganda. A user training and capacity building workshop was organized for 17th – 21st June 2019 to train both technical (Program managers) and ICT people from UAC, Stakeholders and Implementing partners on Situation Room so as to ensure better adoption of the situation room and its functionality. The training/workshop was facilitated by trainers from the National AIDS Control Centre (NACC), Kenya.
